IDMA kickstarts its 60th Diamond Jubilee Deliberations & Celebrations

Mumbai: The Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association (IDMA) kickstarted its 60th Diamond Jubilee Deliberations & Celebrations today being held atSahara Star, Mumbai from April 14-15,2022. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi addressed the summit over a video message.

Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilisers inaugurated the summit in the presence of Dr Viranchi Shah - National President along with Bharat Shah – Chairman, IDMA Diamond Jubilee Organising Committee, Mahesh Doshi - Immediate Past National President, Mehul Shah – Hon General Secretary, Dr George Patani – Vice President (Western Region) and Daara Patel - Secretary General. The Minister also addressed the audience on pertinent issues related to the sector on a fire side chat with Parijat Ghosh, Partner, Bain & Co. Bain & Co is the knowledge partner for this event.

The summit today witnessed multiple sessions showcasing the pharmaceutical and allied industries across the Globe, disseminating knowledge on various subjects, highlighting the contribution of IDMA to bridge the gap between the industry and the ministry. Awards were also presented to several industry professionals for their outstanding contribution towards the growth of the sector.

Piyush Goyal, Minister for Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Textiles has confirmed to be the Chief Guest at the Valedictory ceremony on April 15, 2022.

According to Dr Shah, “We intend to commemorate this historic occasion of the completion of 60 years of our association with this two day long celebration consisting of panel discussions, technical sessions and an entertainment programme to boost the image of our association as the premier association of the Indian Pharmaceutical Industry.” He further elaborated, “Eminent National and International personalities are addressing our members over two days.”

This event is being graced by bureaucrats and ministers from the central government as well as the state government. The key torch bearers of the pharmaceutical world are an integral part of this event.
