Health centres to promote Ayurveda
Principal of the ayurveda college at Shiroda, Dr Anura Bale, will speak on the subject, ‘Ayurveda for public health’. Health minister Vishwajit Rane, and health secretary J Ashok Kumar, will be chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
The Ayush cell of the directorate of health services will hold a state-level function to mark the occasion, at the seminar hall in the secretariat, at 10.30am. Principal of the ayurveda college at Shiroda, Dr Anura Bale, will speak on the subject, ‘Ayurveda for public health’. Health minister Vishwajit Rane, and health secretary J Ashok Kumar, will be chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
Deputy director for Ayush, Dr Datta Bhat, said the state government has taken the initiative to actively promote ayurveda throughout the state. “Many more functions will be held at panchayat level, at angawadis, schools, colleges etc, with the help of different organisations such as the ayurveda vyaspeetha, Goa Ayurveda Medical Association, Lions Club, Rotary Club and Junior Chamber International, among others,” he said.
