The daylong conference brought together renowned orthopaedic surgeons and faculties from different parts of the country who discussed the latest developments in the field of acetabular surgery. The keynote faculties at the conference were Dr John Mukhopadhaya (Patna), Dr Rakesh Rajput (Kolkata), Dr Ashok Raju (Hyderabad), Dr Pradip Nemade, (Mumbai), Dr Umesh Meena (Jaipur) and Dr Rakesh Agrawal (Ranchi).
Addressing the conference, Dr Rajput said, “Acetabular fractures are complex injuries, and their management requires a multidisciplinary approach. Surgeons should collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible treatment to their patients. It’s important to stay up to date with the latest advances in surgical techniques and technology to improve patient outcomes.”
“It’s essential to educate practicing surgeons and students about the importance of acetabular surgery. By doing so, we can improve awareness in this field and ensure patients receive the best possible care,” said Dr Ashok Raju.
The conference featured presentations and panel discussions on various topics related to acetabular fractures. Dr Rajeev Anand and Dr Ashwini Gaurav, the organising chairman and secretary, respectively, spoke about how the programme aimed to raise awareness among surgeons about the various techniques of acetabular surgery.
BOA president Dr Ranjit Kumar Singh and secretary Dr Mahesh Prasad discussed how this programme is part of a series of educational conferences planned throughout the year by the association.
The conference, organised in collaboration with the Indian Orthopaedic Association, provided an opportunity to orthopaedics to exchange ideas and learn about the latest advances in acetabular surgery.
