Govt nominates 5 members to Maharashtra Medical Council
The state government on Wednesday nominated five members to the Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC). The notification of the approval has been sent to the law and judiciary
Dr Ajit Gopchade (Paediatrician, Nanded), Dr Bakulesh Mehta (MBBS, Mumbai), Dr Makarand Vyavahare (Professor at Chandrapur Medical College), Dr Pratap Jadhav (Orthopaedic surgeon, Jalgaon) and Dr Venky Raghuvan are the five doctors who have been nominated.
More than seven months after the MMC elections were held and results were announced, the elected members are yet to take charge as they have been waiting for the government to nominate five members, necessary to complete the constitution of the regulatory body.
