Government working to get Indian vaccines recognized all across the Globe: Mandaviya
Till date, 96 countries have agreed to mutually recognize the vaccination status and certificates of fully-vaccinated Indian travelers.
Till date, 96 countries have agreed to mutually recognize the vaccination status and certificates of fully-vaccinated Indian travelers. The Union Health Ministry in turn provides certain relaxations to travelers from these countries vaccinated with Covishield/WHO approved/nationally approved vaccines in accordance with the guidelines on international arrivals issued on 20th October 2021.
Mandaviya informed that the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) is working along with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to get more countries to recognize vaccination being administered in India’s vaccination drive to ease the process for international travel.
Some of the countries that have mutually recognized vaccination status include Canada, The United States of America, Bangladesh, Russia, Georgia, The United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium amongst others.
