Former President of India Pranab Mukherjee tested positive for Covid-19; had gone for a regular check-up
Pranab Mukherjee, who served as the 13th president of India between 2012 and 2017, had visited the hospital for a separate procedure when he was diagnosed with the novel coronavirus.
After the news of Union Home Minister Amit Shah testing positive for the coronavirus, it is being reported that the former President of India Pranab Mukherjee has also tested positive for Covid-19. Pranab Mukherjee, who served as the 13th president of India between 2012 and 2017, had visited the hospital for a separate procedure when he was diagnosed with the novel coronavirus.
The ex-president took to Twitter to inform the public about his test reports. He wrote, “On a visit to the hospital for a separate procedure, I have tested positive for Covid-19 today. I request the people who came in contact with me in the last week, to please self isolate and get tested for Covid-19. #CitizenMukherjee.”

After the news of Former President’s health condition broke, wishes for his speedy recovery started pouring on social media platforms. As of now, there is no further update about the health condition of the 84-year-old ex-president of India.
