FDA raids four shops that sold dietary supplements sans appropriate labels
Doctors caution that consuming nutritional supplements without knowing the exact contents could have serious health implications.
At least one of the shops was operating without a licence. “We found major labelling violations and served notices to the shops,” said Pallavi Darade, FDA commissioner. “They were selling products with labels that didn’t list the ingredients...or provided any medical warnings. It also didn’t say where it was manufactured...or imported from.”
