If a baby continuously cries, people take it lightly and think of it as colic or something else. But it can be arrhythmia, improper beating of the heart.
If a baby continuously cries, people take it lightly and think of it as colic or something else. But it can be arrhythmia, improper beating of the heart.
A 25-day-old baby girl came to the national institute on Tuesday night with excessive crying. She was crying consistently for more than 12 hours and was not taking feed. Before coming to this hospital, she was treated for abdominal colic, otitis or sepsis.
At AIIMS, a team of doctors led by Mohanty conducted a check-up of the baby. They found that it was a case of arrhythmia. After all required tests, she was taken to the NICU. Baby was managed for 24 hours and the rhythm was normal. After the treatment, the baby was doing well.
Entire team treating the baby girl is now happy for her recovery as all faculties of the department and many residents have tested Covid positive. Only Mohanty was not affected.
