Doctors hold dharna at OGH, demand release of PRC arrears & new building
Said the state government has come up with the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) and other facilities so quickly. These institutes too would have faced issues of land but they managed it.
Apart from the doctors, students of Osmania Medical College also took part in the dharna.
“The state government has come up with the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) and other facilities so quickly. These institutes too would have faced issues of land but they managed it. Then why is this delay when it comes to constructing a new building for OGH? The chief minister made a commitment nine years back but the foundation stone is yet to be laid. Doctors, nurses, staff, students and patients are all suffering due to the delay,” said TGDA president Dr B Ramesh.
The protesting staff also wanted the pending PRC arrears of four years cleared immediately.
