Depressed over not bearing child, woman hangs self

INDORE: A 25-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her residence in Tapeshwari Bagh area under Khajrana police station.

The woman, identified as Sakshi, was staying in the city along with her husband Ankit Tripathi. Her husband found her hanging from the ceiling late on Monday. He managed to take her down and immediately rushed her to the hospital, where she was declared brought dead by the doctors.

Ankit claimed that his wife was depressed for a long time because they were not able to have children. There is a possibility that she might have taken the extreme step because of this, said police. A case was registered and the body was handed over to the family members after post mortem examination.
