Delhi: Start non-Covid services: Docs
Resident doctors of Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) held a silent protest inside the campus on Monday, to demand the resumption of non-Covid services in a phased manner at Lok Nayak Hospital.
Dr Keshave Singh, president of MAMC Resident Doctors’ Association, said the protest will continue on Tuesday as well. “We had sought permission from Delhi Police to hold a march from Lok Nayak Hospital to the Delhi Secretariat to press for our demands, however it was denied,” he said.
The doctors said residents have been working tirelessly for the past 10 months in the Covid wards. “All other activities have come to a standstill. This has led to severe academic loss, delay in thesis completion, change in protocols and thrive to gain knowledge,” they added.
