BD appoints Pavan Mocherla as new Managing Director for India, South Asia

New Delhi: Global medical technology company, BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) recently announced the appointment of Pavan Mocherla as the new Managing Director for India and South Asia operations. He will be relocating to India from the US to be at the helm of affairs in the country.

With more than 25 years of experience across various industries, Mocherla has held multiple positions and managed several projects in both emerging and developed markets. He has been with BD for 14+ years in business and strategic roles.

In his last assignment in BD for Strategic Innovation, he was instrumental in setting up an Innovation System to accelerate growth opportunities for the markets of China and South East Asia. In his current role, Mocherla will be driving patient safety initiatives like Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), Healthcare associated infections (HAI) reduction etc. and spearhead projects to improve access to technology in the global health space (HIV, TB etc.) through engagement with stakeholders across Government and multilateral agencies.

Prior to BD, he was associated with organisations like Whirlpool, ONIDA and NIIT Ltd. Mocherla completed his MBA in Marketing from Central University, Pondicherry and Bachelors in Science from Osmania University, Hyderabad.
