Bengaluru: With 5,92,182 active cases, Karnataka on Wednesday climbed to the top of the country’s Covid-19 list.

This number is a clear indicator of the burden on the healthcare system, including patients in hospitals, Covid Care Centres and home isolation.

Vax drive for 18-44 suspended in K’taka
Following severe shortage of vaccines and supply constraints, Karnataka government on Wednesday night decided to suspend vaccination drive for the 18-44 age group at government facilities from May 14 until further notice. Private hospitals, however, will continue administering vaccine doses for all age groups.
