Arunachal Pradesh's first medical college to be functional by 2017
Chief Minister Kalikho Pul asked the department of health and family welfare and the Noida-based executing agency to fast track the construction of the 300-bedded Tomo Riba State Hospital .
He asked the department of health and family welfare and the Noida-based executing agency to fast track the construction of the 300-bedded Tomo Riba State Hospital at Naharlagun for establishment of the medical college in the state.
He set the deadline for completion of the construction of the hospital building by August 15 this year and asked the department to take steps to see that work on the hospital is not halted for lack of funds.
He asked all line departments and officials to work in a coordinated manner to develop integrated health facilities in the state.
Earlier, Pul participated in a review meeting of the health facilities in the state including progress report of the Medical College and Tomo Riba State Hospital at Naharlagun, an official communique said.
He also stressed on development of critical infrastructure like roads, railways, power and water supply to achieve comprehensive economic development, the communiqué added.
