AMU doctor awarded for maximum blood donation
The camps were organized by Blood Bank JNMC, Dept of Pathology JNMC, AMU and SOCH Sanstha Aligarh.
In a programme jointly organized by State Blood Transfusion Council (SBTC), Uttar Pradesh and Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, Dr Saleem was felicitated for organizing voluntary blood donation camps and collecting blood for patients in need. The camps were organized by Blood Bank JNMC, Dept of Pathology JNMC, AMU and SOCH Sanstha Aligarh.
The aim of the programme was to spread awareness about voluntary blood donation.
Prof Ali Amir, chairperson, Department of Community Medicine, AMU, in his congratulatory note, appreciated the efforts of Dr Saleem and said that the department has always worked for the community and the students are working towards social responsibility.
He said that the department is working towards providing blood to patients admitted in the hospital without replacement by increasing voluntary blood donation.
