36 districts fail to create single health care professional registry under Ayushman
Even in those 16 districts, not a single one has crossed the mark of 50 and 12 districts had less than ten verifications of health profession under AB-NDHM.
The district wise details of verified health professional record on AB-NDHM dashboard showed only 125 such registrations in Madhya Pradesh.
Even in those 16 districts, not a single one has crossed the mark of 50 and 12 districts had less than ten verifications of health profession under AB-NDHM.
The situation is after a state-wide special drive for HPR, Health facility registry, and e-health cards under AB-NDHM.
HPR is a comprehensive repository of all health care professionals involved in delivery of health care services including both in modern and traditional systems of medicine. The poor response could be understood by the fact that in Madhya Pradesh there are around 55,000 registered allopathy doctors, leave aside other systems of medicines, paramedics, dentists and others.
MP Ayushman CEO Anurag Choudhary told TOI, “In AB-NDHM we are moving ahead in a phase wise manner focusing first on health facility registry, e-health cards.”
In the health facility registry, there are at least five districts, which have achieved 100% verification. The rest are in process and will be done very soon, said Choudhary.
The districts like Barwani, Khargone, Bhopal, Sehore had achieved 100% health facility registration in the mission in the state. “In case of HPR, states like Maharashtra, AP uploaded details of government employees of health, ayush department. We are following old tactics to avoid uploading details wrongly”, said Choudhary.
“By July end, we will make some progress in the mission and substantial progress will be seen by August end”, Choudhary added.
The AB-NDHM was launched on 74th Independence Day last year aiming to develop a complete e-health ecosystem in the country under National Health Policy 2017 by creation of HPR, HFR and e-health cards.
In creation of HFR and e-health cards, Madhya Pradesh is among top performers in the country by securing a place in top five states with maximum such verification in both these categories. In state, 6,864 health facilities are verified to remain on fifth position followed by 154.4 lakh e-health card generation to secure fourth place in ABHA ids creation, showed dashboard.
