Epidemiologist, Mandsaur, Dr Shubham Silawat told, “There are around 200 teams of grassroot workers including those Asha, Assistant Nursing Matron and MPW workers, who visit from house to house to identify suspects of bacterial disease.” “On Friday, 35 new samples were collected from the suspects and sent to AIIMS-Bhopal, which is a linked laboratory for the district”, said Silawat. “These suspects are put under observation but not in quarantine or isolation as this disease doesn’t spread from human to human”, said Silawat.
