2 female docs allege harassment by addl CMO at Doon Hosp

Dehradun: Two women doctors at the blood bank in Government Doon Medical College and Hospital (GDMCH)have alleged harassment by an additional chief medical officer (ACMO) while he was conducting an inspection at the department last week.

They have filed a complaint stating that "the senior doctor misbehaved with them and used foul language". "Due to the recent spike in dengue cases in the city, doctors and medical personnel at the blood bank are working round the clock. Such behaviour is extremely demoralising," said a source at the hospital.

An inquiry has been set up at the hospital level for now. "We have also sent a letter to the chief medical officer (CMO) to look into the matter," said principal, GDMCH, Dr Ashutosh Sayana.

CMO Dr Sanjay Jain said, "The issue had come to light a few days back. If the investigation proves the allegations to be true, strict action will be taken. We are talking to all parties involved."
