The da Vinci system, with its specialised instrumentation and 3D visualisation, will serve the patients by facilitating complex procedures across multiple surgical disciplines such as urology, gynaecology, oncology, minimal access, bariatric surgery, general surgery etc. The Mako robot opens new possibilities for knee and hip replacement needing enhanced accuracy. Therefore, in the realm of orthopaedic surgeries, the Mako robot emerges as a transformative force. It aids surgeons in executing joint replacement procedures with unparalleled precision and minimal tissue damage, paving the way for quicker recovery and improved long-term joint function for patients.
Yatharth Tyagi, Director, Yatharth Group of Hospitals, said, “By acquiring these robots of around Rs 30 crores, we aim to transform surgical standards and radically improve patient outcomes. I believe robots will not replace surgeons, but surgeons who use robots will replace surgeons who do not use robots.”
Dr Sudhir Sharma, Director-Minimal Access & Bariatric Surgery & Chief Medical Advisor, Yatharth Hospitals shared, “In the current healthcare landscape, patients are increasingly mindful of the postoperative impacts of surgeries. Given the swift pace of modern lifestyles and occupational demands, individuals seek treatments that prioritise safety and assure expeditious recovery. We are proud to acquire these sophisticated surgical robots and build special capabilities to deliver better minimally invasive care.”
Dr Amit Nath Misra, Director & HOD-Orthopaedics & Joint Replacement, Yatharth Hospitals, said “With the help of Mako technology, surgeons can replicate exact and precise bone cuts for patients. Besides accuracy, it provides patients the benefits of smaller incisions, reduced pain, faster recovery, and better clinical outcomes.”
