TGMC cracks the whip on fake docs in Ramanthapur

Hyderabad: Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) has exposed an unqualified person practising under a registered doctor's name in Ramantapur. Yadagiri, the president of Ramantapur RMP/PMP Association, was caught by TGMC representatives prescribing medicines posing as a doctor.

"At Ram Reddy Nagar, Ramantapur, Yadagiri, a fake doctor, was administering injections of distilled water as medicine. He was president of Ramantapur RMP Association and operats Ushodaya First Aid Center.

TGMC representatives have intensified inspections against fake RMP/PMP centres and unauthorised diagnostic centres. Fake doctors have proliferated Hyderabad, said TGMC, which carried out inspections at Ramantapur and Beerappaguda based on complaints. At SVL Clinic in Nehru Nagar, Ramantapur, TGMC found that an unqualified person, Avancha Suresh, practising under the name of Dr Narasimha Chari, MBBS, without any medical qualifications.

"A notice was issued to Dr Narasimha Chari and a case will be registered against the fake doctor, Avancha Suresh. In the same area, the council decided to logde a complaint against Turaga Nageshwar Rao, who operats Sri Balaji First Aid, for illegally administering pain relief injections and other Schedule ‘H' drugs to patients. Also, Sri Dhanavantri Diagnostic, which lacked permissions from medical authorities, was conducting tests prescribed by unqualified persons using ‘Dr Leela Sambrani's digital signature.
