The authorities had organised a training programme for the officials from those hospitals around two weeks ago to inform, educate and detail them about the IHIP portal and its mandate for updating about disease.
The government through its set up can only cover the patients’ details walking to public health facilities. The roping in is done to increase the surveillance to know the prevalence of the diseases in district and state. IDSP, district nodal, Dr Amit Malakar told TOI, “A training programme of 100 private hospitals to integrate them with IHIP portal is held in the district to increase surveillance of communicable disease.”
“The training programme is held across the state for the IDSP wings with private hospitals in divisional headquarters, which have tertiary care centres”, added Dr Malakar.
“This will improve the surveillance mechanism and help in knowing diseases better”, added Dr Malakar.
