Prez Kovind admitted to AIIMS, to undergo bypass on Mar 30
President Ram Nath Kovind was admitted to AIIMS on Saturday for a planned bypass procedure scheduled for Tuesday, Rashtrapati Bhavan said in a statement.
Kovind, 75, had undergone a health check up at the Army Hospital (R&R) here after experiencing discomfort in the chest on Friday morning. “Post investigations, doctors advised him to undergo a planned bypass procedure, which is expected to be performed on the morning of March 30. The President’s health is stable and he is under the care of experts at AIIMS,” the statement said. Defence minister Rajnath Singh visited Kovind on Friday.
