Panaji: The state government is planning to set up an infertility clinic at Goa Medical College (GMC) and Hospital, Bambolim.

Health minister Vishwajit Rane said the government wants to set up the facility in GMC as many people have been cheated by private clinics.

Presently, he said, the tertiary care hospital does not offer advance treatment for cure of infertility among couples. A few months ago, GMC’s gynaecology and obstetrics department had announced its plan to start intrauterine insemination (IUI) facility and invitro fertilisation (IVF).
