Not in their seats, 6 doctors of DCH Loni get notices
A patient's family claimed the doctors were not present in their seats. We found out that the doctors were present in the hospital but not in their seats, which caused inconvenience to the family.
According to officials, the CMO received a video from the hospital showing the doctors missing from their seats, after which he issued show cause notices to ENT surgeon Dr Piyush Chaubey, radiologist Dr Kusumlata Sagar, emergency medical officer Dr Anamika, EMO Dr Shabaz Akhtar Khan, gynaecologist Dr Priti Agarwal and dental surgeon Dr Abhishek Kumar.
The CMO has asked the doctors to submit a response. “I sought a response from the doctors after receiving a video of the Loni hospital. A patient's family claimed the doctors were not present in their seats. We found out that the doctors were present in the hospital but not in their seats, which caused inconvenience to the family. The doctors must be available at the hospital till 2 pm at least. We have instructed doctors at all government health care centres to stay back for a few more minutes for patients to collect medicines from the pharmacy as they may require the help of doctors," said Dr Shankhdar.
Before the inauguration of the new hospital, Loni had one community health centre (CHC) for an over 10 lakh population. All patients visited the District MMG Hospital and the Combined District Hospital in Sanjay Nagar for even minor ailments.
Now, the DCH will offer services like institutional deliveries, CT-scans, general surgeries, dental and ENT operations. There are two operation theatres in the hospital.
