Mysuru govt hospitals to have exclusive wards for dengue cases
Health minister Ramesh Kumar said that special wards would be set up in government hospitals in district where prevalence of dengue disease is more.
"These special wards will have all the facilities to treat dengue patients including blood platelets supply machines. The patients will be monitored round the clock," the minister said instructing health department officials in Mysuru to set up one such ward.
Responding to the minister's instruction, Dr S Chidambara, district vector-borne diseases control officer, said the department is mulling setting up a special ward at Epidemic Disease Hospital on KRS Road in the city.
The district has reported 271 dengue positive cases as on July 31.
