Multispecialty hospital in Bhubaneswar soon
Bhubaneswar/ The mayor of the city, Anant Narayan Jena, on Monday announced that Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) would construct a multispecialty hospital at Gadakana in the city.
The hospital, targeted to be ready within two years, will be built at a cost of Rs 178 crore. "We have started construction of a 12-MW waste-to-energy project in the city," said the mayor. Finance minister Pradip Amat and housing and urban development minister Puspendra Singh Deo were also present at the event.
On the occasion, the mayor flagged off the Mahayatra, a hearse procured at a cost of Rs 30 lakh.
The LSG day was also observed in Cuttack. School and mass education minister Debi Prasad Mishra inaugurated a high-mast light at Baliyatra Ground and a night shelter at Kathagola, both constructed at a cost of Rs 30 lakh. He also threw open a Rs 15-lakh community centre at Haripur.
The minister laid the foundation stone of a transit house and a shelter home at Tulasipur. The projects will come up at a cost of Rs 2.14 crore and Rs 40 lakh respectively. The foundation stone of a bus stand at CDA Sector-VI was laid.
