Mangaluru : NABH accredits Indiana Hospital and Heart Institute
NABH has accredited only 403 hospitals in whole of India and Indiana Hospital is the 385th in the list.
Mangaluru: The National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) has accredited Indiana Hospital and Heart Institute Ltd. This makes Indiana Hospital, the first corporate referral hospital and third hospital in the city to be accredited by NABH. So far, NABH has accredited only 403 hospitals in whole of India and Indiana Hospital is the 385th in the list, noted, Dr Yusuf Kumble, managing director of Indiana Hospital stated. NABH is constituent board of Quality Council of India, setup to establish and operate accreditation program for healthcare organizations. NABH is an institutional member as well as Board member of the International Society for Quality in Health Care and the hospitals accredited by NABH will have international recognition. Indiana Hospital took 18 months to implement its quality protocols and NABH rewarded the hard work by accrediting the Hospital in July 2016.
The certificate of accreditation is valid up to July 2, 2019.
