Make hospitals better for patients: CMCH to doctors
On the occasion of National Doctors Day, the doctors and staff of Christian Medical College and Hospital discussed about how doctors can make hospitals better for patients.
The National Doctors Day is celebrated on July 1 all across India in the memory of the legendary physician and the second chief minister of West Bengal, Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy, who was honoured with the country’s highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna. He was born on July 1, 1882 and died on the same date in 1962.
Dr Dhruv Ghosh, associate director, CMCH, said doctors are a vital part of the society and have a big responsibility to make this world a better place through their dedication and service towards the humanity.
Dr Anil Luther, medical superintendent, said the society always looks up to the doctors to find hope in this suffering world and doctors should go an extra mile to help the hurting, just like Dr Edith Mary Brown who came to this nation in 1894 as a missionary and started this hospital to help the suffering and needy of this region.
