JJ clinical trials report on Mon; doctor fired
A committee appointed by JJ Hospital to probe clinical trials done without permissions within hospital premises, will submit its report on Monday. The department of medical education and research (DMER) last week terminated the contract of Dr Hemant Gupta, an honorary professor in the department of medicine of JJ Hospital, Byculla.
Dr Gupta is associated with Lifeline Hospital Management Services, which won contract to provide manpower to jumbo Covid centres. “It was initially believed that he was linked to Parshwa Life Sciences that operated out of JJ premises without paying rent for five years,'' said senior official.
