Dr. Rajendra Patankar appointed as CEO of Jupiter Hospital, Pune
Dr. Rajendra Patankar, former COO at Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital, Mumbai, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Jupiter Hospital Pune with effect from December 2019.
Speaking on the senior leadership role, Dr. Ajay Thakker, Chairman & Managing Director of Jupiter Hospital says, “We welcome Dr. Rajendra Patankar as the Chief Executive Officer of our Pune Hospital. His experience would be greatly valued in providing strategic direction and vision to the hospital. It will ensure that our focus on clinical excellence, and patient centricity remains paramount".
With over 17 years of rich healthcare experience, Dr. Patankar would be designated as a key managerial personnel and will be responsible for driving and overseeing the development and execution of the hospital’s strategy, patient relationship management, quality excellence and leadership development.
An MD in Hospital Administration and Planning from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal (a 1500 beds hospital), Dr. Patankar has commissioned more than 7 hospitals and has successfully managed them.
As part of Radiant Life Care Management, Dr. Patankar played a significant role in the brand repositioning of the 65-year-old iconic Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai. He led the team to a complete turnaround in operations both clinically and financially in one of the most complex working environments. In the past, Dr. Patankar has worked institutions like Manipal Hospitals, Fortis Healthcare, Hinduja Hospital, Aster D M Healthcare and Surya Child Care.
Dr. Patankar is on the academic board of Welingkar’s School of Management for the course of Masters in Hospital Administration and is a recipient of the Visihtha Paryavaran Mitra Award by Environmental Medical Association. As a core group member of CII Western Region he advises on various issues relating to the healthcare industry.
