Dog runs away with patient's severed leg in Bihar hospital
In a bizarre incident, a stray dog took away the amputated leg of a patient from a government hospital in Bihar. The canine can be seen running away holding a long piece of flesh and bones from the Sadar Hospital. The limb belonged to critically injured middle-aged Ramnath Mishra of Ara district.
Ironically, the incident occurred in Buxar district, the parliamentary constituency of Union minister of state for health Ashwini Kumar Choubey.
The picture of a black stray dog hit the social media on Monday in which the canine is seen running away holding a long piece of flesh and bones from the Sadar Hospital. The limb belonged to critically injured middle-aged Ramnath Mishra of Ara district.
Mishra had been admitted to Sadar Hospital after he slipped and fell on the track while trying to board a running Sharamjivi Express at Buxar junction.
In this mishap his right leg and arm was almost severed. He was rushed to the hospital by the GRP. The doctors in the operation theatre amputated the leg and kept it while cleaning the wounds for dressing. But a dog entered the OT and before the staff could understand and react to it, it jumped out in a flash and ran away. Mishra later succumbed to his injuries.
