The hospital recently started integrated health management system for registration and making Abha cards for beneficiaries. However, due to poor internet connectivity inside the building, patients were often facing hurdles to complete their online registration leading to long queues at the counters.
Officials at the hospital said that along with making Abha cards, online out-patient department (OPD) registrations also take place through an app, but due to slow internet on the premises the process was taking extra time.
The WiFi network will now cover the registration counters, enquiry counters, OPD and will also cover some wards. Login ID and password has been pasted near these counters for the convenience of the people. Since the district hospital was shifted to the new building in Sector 39 from Sector 30 child PGI campus, the hospital has been upgrading its services.
