City hospital gets permission to conduct live kidney transplants
Dr Shiv Narain Kalia, vice-president of Tristar Hospital, told TOI, “We have been allowed to carry out live kidney transplants in 25 cases in first year and then will be permitted to carry out cadaver transplants. This is government norm.”

The hospital has hired specialists to conduct live transplants of kidneys of close relatives of patients.
