Chennai hospital conducts walkathon to create hepatitis awareness

Chennai: More than 1,000 participants took part in a walkathon organised by Gleneagles Health City in Chennai on Sunday to raise awareness about hepatitis and healthy liver.

Actor Prashanth flagged off the walkathon from Island Grounds after a special warm-up session organised at the venue by professional trainers.

“Raising awareness about hepatitis is crucial for prevention and early detection,” said Dr Joy Varghese, director, hepatology and transplant hepatology, Gleneagles Health City.

“Through this walkathon, we aim to bring our community together to spread knowledge and support those affected by hepatitis. Every step taken by our participants helps in the fight against this disease," he said.
