Cancer care hosp thanks, honours donors

At the programme organised by the Medical Social Services Department of the hospital, officer in charge of the Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Cancer Centre and Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital, Dr Pankaj Chaturvedi said both these hospitals had progressed rapidly in a short span, the credit for which largely went to the donors, whose help not only helped the patients get treatment, but also increased the facilities at the hospital.
More than 40 donors from Varanasi and surrounding areas participated in the programme, including Keshav Jalan from Jalan Group, A K Rai of Power Grid Corporation India Limited and Durgesh Singh from Central Bank of India. People from organisations like Rotary Club, Lions Club, Bharat Vikas Parishad participated in the programme and shared their views. Director (administration) of the hospital, Madho Singh, deputy director Dr Vikramjit Kanwar, medical superintendent Dr Akash Anand Srivastava and senior doctors were present on the occasion.
