Apollo Hospitals opens third cancer centre in Chennai

Chennai: Apollo Hospitals has expanded its footprint in cancer care with the launch of its third cancer centre in Chennai, located at Vanagaram. The new facility is set to provide cancer treatment and services to patients in the city and surrounding regions.

Ma. Subramanian, Tamilnadu health minister, inaugurated the centre and said, “Apollo Cancer Centres continue to lead in bringing advanced cancer care to Tamil Nadu, expanding both nationally and globally. The Vanagaram centre is a key step forward in our collective fight against cancer."

Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, Founder & Chairman of Apollo Hospitals, said, “This new centre will significantly enhance access to quality cancer care for patients in Chennai and surrounding areas,” he stated.

Dr. Preetha Reddy, Executive Vice Chairperson of Apollo Hospitals, highlighted the introduction of Tamil Nadu’s first Elekta Harmony Pro radiation therapy technology at the new facility. “This advanced technology reduces the burden on patients by bringing high-quality oncology services closer to home,” she added.

The new centre offers a range of advanced diagnostic, surgical, and radiation oncology services. Houses a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including oncologists, pathologists, and allied health professionals, further reinforcing Apollo’s leadership in cancer care.>
