Amaravati will soon be major health hub: CM Chandrababu Naidu

VIJAYAWADA: Amaravati will become a major health hub with 14 medical colleges and super specialty hospitals coming up in near future, said AP CM Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday while laying the foundation for Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute at Tullur village.

The 1,000-bed cancer hospital will be developed in three phases in 15 acre land allotted by the state government. The hospital is being developed to create cancer awareness, prevention and early detection of cancer, provide state of the art diagnostic facilities, provide advanced methods of treatment, establish learning and research institute and function as a non-profit organization.
