Nine facilities in Karnataka's government run hospitals have been awarded with the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification.
The recognition is for government hospitals that have met all quality measures in terms of infrastructure, cleanliness, equipment and other factors.
District Hospital of Tumkur (8 departments), Vijayapura (7), Koppal (8), Wenlock hospital, Dakshina Kannada (5), Hassan (10), Kolar (7) Karwar (8), and urban primary health center in Nehru Nagar, Dharvad are the hospitals that bagged NQAS National Certification in Karnataka.
However, the recognition is only for the chosen departments of the hospitals that matched the criteria and for all the facilities in the hospitals.
