3 Janta clinics ready in Jodhpur district, 15 more in pipeline
Each clinic will have an OPD chamber, medicine counter, patient waiting area and a drug distribution counter.
Among the three clinics ready for inauguration, one is located at Ayurveda Hospital Bhawan near Mandore railway station, another at Baiji Ka Talab in a municipal corporation census centre and the third one in a school building at Masuriya. The clinics are planned in such as a way that all the three Jodhpur’s assembly constituencies —Sardarpura, Jodhpur city, Soorsagar — get equal share.
“Apart from the clinics which are ready for inauguration, there are 15 others which will come up soon. The upcoming clinics are equally distributed among the three city’s state assembly constituencies —Sardarpura, Jodhpur city, Soorsagar. Each constituency will get 5 Janta clinics,” said Dr Balwant Manda, chief medical health officer, Jodhpur.
Jodhpur’s district administration and health department are taking steps for identification of place where 15 other such Janta clinics will be established.
Each clinic will have an OPD chamber, medicine counter, patient waiting area and a drug distribution counter. The health department has said it will make available 390 drugs for free distribution to the patients. Also, the clinics will have facilities for referral of patients. The government will deploy a medical officer, two nurses, one women health worker, pharmacist and a grade IV employee.
