Meril Life Sciences hosts executive program on digital innovation in healthcare supply chain

Gujarat: Meril Life Sciences recently organised a two-day executive program titled "Get Ahead in Life," aimed at senior and middle managers working in healthcare supply chain management and procurement. The workshop focused on tackling key challenges and uncovering opportunities within the healthcare supply chain, particularly through the integration of cutting-edge digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and specialized product knowledge training.

Dr Venkatesan N, Director and Chief Procurement Officer, Max Healthcare, highlighted the unique procurement challenges in India’s healthcare sector. He noted, "Managing fragmented supply chains and ensuring the timely availability of critical medical supplies are pressing concerns. Hospitals are under increasing pressure to boost efficiency while controlling costs. Adopting new procurement technologies is essential, but the transition can be complex. Comprehensive training is vital to align these systems with the operational realities of healthcare, bridging the gap between technology and practical application."
