Meril Life Sciences hosts executive program on digital innovation in healthcare supply chain
The workshop focused on addressing key challenges in healthcare supply chain management while exploring opportunities to integrate advanced digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and comprehensive product knowledge training.
Dr Venkatesan N, Director and Chief Procurement Officer, Max Healthcare, highlighted the unique procurement challenges in India’s healthcare sector. He noted, "Managing fragmented supply chains and ensuring the timely availability of critical medical supplies are pressing concerns. Hospitals are under increasing pressure to boost efficiency while controlling costs. Adopting new procurement technologies is essential, but the transition can be complex. Comprehensive training is vital to align these systems with the operational realities of healthcare, bridging the gap between technology and practical application."
Balaji S, GM Procurement, West Kokilaben Hospital, said, "The biggest challenge today is integrating rapidly evolving technologies with the operational realities faced by healthcare providers."
