Hyderabad: Location-based healthcare discovery app Medinfi raises Rs 2 crore in angel round
Location-based app for finding patient-reviewed clinics in the vicinity and booking doctor appointments, Medinfi has raised an angel round of Rs 2 crore from a group of investors.
The round of funding saw participation from Pradeep K Jaisingh, chairman, Healthstart, Sunil TV, co-founder of India Value Fund Advisors, Vijay Ghadge of logistics firm Gojavas, former CEO & MD of Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Hemant Kaul, Dr Ram Kumar Kakani, professor at XLRI and Gurmeet Chahal SVP & head-healthcare of HCL Technologies.
“We want to be a pure content based platform and do not have any revenue tie-ups with doctors or clinics. We have revenue share model with digital ad-networks and are working with some health insurance companies to provide data from patient experience about hospitals,” said Ravi Krishna Mishra, founder of Medinfi who came up with the concept while trying to locate a good diabetologist for his mother in a new city.
Medinfi intends to use the funds for launching iOS mobile application, apart from expanding its operations to 10 Indian cities in coming 2-3 months. Medinfi was also a part of Facebook’s Bootstrap Program FBStart.
