Abbott launches FreeStyle LibreLink mobile app

Mumbai: Abbott has introduced the FreeStyle LibreLink app in India, providing users of the FreeStyle Libre glucose monitoring system the convenience of checking their readings on their mobile phones without the need for finger pricking. The app is compatible with both iPhone and Android smartphones, offering real-time glucose data and the ability to easily share information with healthcare providers.

Using near-field communication (NFC) technology, the app transfers glucose data from the sensor to the mobile device, allowing users to track their eight-hour glucose history and real-time patterns for better management of diet, insulin use, medication, and exercise—all without requiring a separate reader for glucose monitoring.
