The recruitment is being done after 10 years and the process started about four months ago. Overall 44000 candidates have applied for 534 posts.
Out of this, 17,000 did not select the exam centre.
Out of which around 13,000 candidates were from UP.
However, when admit cards were uploaded on the website of the institute on December 20, examinees raised objections citing long distance of the examination centres. They said their centres were allotted in Patna, Jaipur and Uttarakhand but due to less number of days, they are facing inconvenience in getting train and bus tickets.
Institute director prof Soniya Nityanand said: “Candidates from other states like Chennai, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand have applied for different centres. They were having issues related to centres, so the institute has decided to postpone the exam.”
“ The new date will be announced soon,” said director Soniya Nityanand.
