Zydus gets exclusive marketing rights for prognostic test for breast cancer patients

Ahmedabad: Homegrown pharma major, Zydus Lifesciences Limited on Wednesday announced it has received exclusive marketing rights for CanAssist Breast, an advanced prognostic test for breast cancer patients. The test, which helps decide whether there is need for chemotherapy in early stages, has been developed by OncoStem.

The test is currently not performed in India and if one has to undergo the test, tissue samples are sent to the US.

“With this, we expand our offerings to include prognostic and diagnostic approaches that can greatly benefit cancer patients and clinicians,” said Sharvil Patel, MD, Zydus Lifesciences Limited.
