Visakhapatnam: District collector and Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) special officer V Vinay Chand directed GVMC officials to intensify measures under the vector-borne disease control programme to prevent dengue and malaria in the city.

He conducted a review meeting with GVMC officials on various development activities, sanitation and prevention of monsoon diseases here at the GVMC office on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion he said, “Health wing officials need to conduct active surveillance around households from where cases are reported. ”
