Sharp decline seen in India's active Covid-19 cases

The total positive cases of the country now comprise only 1.25% of the total cases.
Even the daily deaths have declined. 18 states and UTs have not reported any new deaths in the last 24 hour. “13 states have reported between 1-5 deaths,” added the statement. According to the health ministry, 9309 new confirmed cases were recorded in the last 24 hours in the country, while 15,858 recoveries were registered in the same period.
The National recovery rate continues to be the highest globally, at 97.32%. The total of recovered cases now are 1,05,89,230.
As on 12 February till 8:00 Am more than 75 lakh beneficiaries have received the vaccination with 58,14,976 healthcare workers and 16,90,034 frontline workers being vaccinated so far. “India is the fastest country to cross the 7 million vaccination mark,” added the statement. Out of the total 4,97,896 beneficiaries who were inoculated in the last 24 hour, 1,09,748 healthcare workers and 3,78,148 frontline workers were vaccinated across 11,314 sessions.
The health ministry said that the number of vaccinations every day has shown progress. 10 states/UTs have vaccinated 69% of the total beneficiaries, with the maximum being vaccinated in Uttar Pradesh, followed by Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Kerala continues to report the highest daily new cases. It reported 5281 cases, followed by Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
