Pune Metropolitan Region: Daily Covid-19 fatalities drop to month’s low of 7
Daily Covid-19 fatalities dropped to seven in the Pune Metropolitan Region on Friday, its least since January 15 when five patients had died.
Among the new cases, the PMC limits recorded 700 cases, followed by the PCMC limits (335) and the rural parts (328). As for new cases, as many as 2,197 patients were declared cured in the PMC limits, 1,177 in the PCMC areas and 864 in the rural parts.
A report released by district health officer Bhagwan Pawar stated that two fatalities were reported each in the PMC and PCMC limits, while three patients died in the rural parts.
As many as 15,974 samples were checked in the region for the infection on Friday. The day’s positivity rate for PMR declined to 8.5%.
The report stated that region’s active case count declined to 15,960 on Friday, including 14,684 patients in home isolation.
