India reports 1,233 Covid cases & 31 deaths in last 24 hours, active infections fall below 15k
India reported 1,233 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Union health ministry data on Wednesday. With this, the active coronavirus infections have dropped below 15,000. The death toll climbed to 5,21,101 with 31 fresh fatalities in the same period, as per the updated health ministry data.
With this, the active coronavirus infections have dropped below 15,000. A reduction of 674 cases has been recorded in the active Covid-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours.

The active caseload of Covid in India now stands at 14,704, contributing to 0.03 per cent of cumulative positive cases.
In the last 24 hours, 1,876 people recovered from the infection, taking the total recoveries since the beginning of the pandemic to 4,24,87,410.
India's Covid-19 recovery rate presently stands at 98.75 per cent.
According to the Union health ministry, the daily positivity rate stands at 0.20 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate has been reported to be 0.25 per cent.
Meanwhile, India's Covid-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 183.79 crore.
Under the recently started Covid vaccine drive for children in the age group 12-14, more than 1.50 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far, of which 12,74,719 beneficiaries were vaccinated in the last 24 hours.
