Genestrings launches 24/7 satellite pathology lab in Delhi airport
The pathology lab is open in the metro building of IGI airport's Terminal 3. The labs provide holistic solutions for routine pathology, advanced genetics, and preventive healthcare.
The launch aims at bridging the accessibility gap in getting reliable diagnostic solutions in the region. With the launch of satellite pathology labs, ensures faster results with less turnaround time, the company informed.
Speaking at the inauguration, Dr Rajat Arora, co-founder, Genestrings, said, "What we learned from the pandemic was that ease of access to quality and ethical diagnostics along with timely reporting is key to strengthening the healthcare system. Hence, we intend to make specialised pathology and high-end genetic testing available at affordable prices to all. This is planned as phase one of our larger expansion strategy, and we’ll be launching more labs in a Hub & Spoke model across various states soon. "
Dr Gauri Agarwal, co-founder, Genestrings, said, "We are establishing a network of satellite routine pathology labs to make it easier to maintain the turnaround time of 4-6 hours for all routine tests for samples collected from any part of Delhi NCR. "
Dr Agarwal further highlighted that they have installed modern molecular biology equipment and use the advanced technologies like next-gen sequencing and thermal cyclers. At the labs, we are also able to do absolute quantification, study gene expression, conduct qPCR tests, do genotyping.
