Bihar logs 361 fresh dengue cases
Altogether 4,605 dengue positive cases have been registered at 13 health centres, including two private hospitals, in the state since August 15 when the virus started witnessing rising trend.
Meanwhile, dengue continued to spread its tentacles in the state with 361 more people testing positive for the virus on Friday.
Apart from Patna, which has a high number of caseload, other districts are also bearing the brunt of the vector-borne viral disease.
As per the official data of released by the health department, of 361 new cases across the state on Friday, Patna alone accounted for 267. The district accounted for 74% of the total dengue cases registered in Bihar on Friday.
Apart from Patna, Munger registered second highest number cases on Friday at 47, followed by Nalanda (10), Gopalganj (8), Gaya (5), Vaishali (5), Nawada (3), Aurangabad (2), Bhojpur (2), Khagaria (2) and Supaul (2). Arwal, Buxar, Jamui, Katihar, Madhubani and Samastipur reported one new case each.

Twenty-two new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the state on Friday, including three in the ICU.
Altogether 138 dengue patients were undergoing treatment at different health facilities in the state on Friday. Of the three critical patients in ICU, two are undergoing treatment at Anugraha Narayan Medical College and Hospital and one at Patna Medical College and Hospital. Dengue has so far claimed three lives in the state this season.
